Sort By Property - Sort By allows you to sort your results list by relevancy rank (fine rank, coarse rank or average rank), number of hits, and any metadata fields in the pull down list. You may sort with a primary sort field only or you may add a secondary and even a third priority sort. To choose a sort click on the pull down menu next to the priority number, and select a sort. To sort in descending order turn on the checkbox next to descending (to the right of the sort). To sort in ascending order turn off the checkbox next to the work descending.

Result List Display Format - Determines how the Search Results List is displayed. Column format: search results will be displayed in a table with metadata columns (x-axis) and documents (y-axis). Row Format: results will display in a list of metadata values. Thumbnail Format: results will display as large picture icons with the filename in a matrix (suitable for Photograph collections). Thumbnail Row Format: results will display in a list with a thumbnail image followed by metadata values.
